A 12-image portfolio of my “Floating World” project has been included in the “30 Over 50: In Context” show at the Center for Fine Art Photography in Fort Collins, Colorado. The online exhibit was launched today and showcases the work of 30 artists over the age of 50 from across the nation. I looked through some of their credentials last night and feel honored to be among them! I urge you to take a look at their work on the 30 Over 50 website and perhaps visit their web pages, using the links below.
The juror was Gordon Stettinius, of Candela Books, and the online introduction says, “Talent is not reserved for the young, and (hopefully) with age comes wisdom. This exhibition celebrates 30 socially engaged artists over the age of 50.” It’s especially rewarding to be included because the selection was based on project portfolios—an ongoing body of work—rather than just one good (and sometimes lucky) shot.
Artists in the exhibit are Mariette Pathy Allen, Debe Arlook, Russell C. Banks, Eckart Bartnik, Marna Clarke, Anderson Clark, Adam Chin, Jo Ann Chaus, Yvonne Dalschen, Gary Emrich, Marsha Guggenheim, Wen Hang Lin, Titus Heagins, Adriene Hughes, Tomiko Jones, Tom Keifer, Takako Kido, Nina Kling, Michael Koerner Lisa Levine, Joyce Lopez, Julie Mihaly, Andrew Ortiz, Astrid Reischwitz, Holly Roberts, Jerry Siegel, Nicolò Sertorio, Jerry Takigawa, Becky Wilkes, and Zelda Zinn
